The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection Complete Set represents an annual limited edition release from Buffalo Trace Distillery. The 2025 collection marks a significant expansion with six expressions, following the addition of E.H. Taylor Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon as the first new member since Thomas H. Handy joined in 2006.

This complete set includes George T. Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon at 142.8 proof, aged 15 years and 4 months, William Larue Weller Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Kentucky Straight Rye at 129.8 proof aged 6 years and 3 months, Eagle Rare 17 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon at 101 proof aged 18 years and 4 months, Sazerac 18 Year Old Kentucky Straight Rye at 90 proof, and E.H. Taylor Bottled-in-Bond at 100 proof aged 15 years and 4 months.

Each expression in the collection is produced using the sour mash process and double distilled through a beer still and doubler. The distillery uses Kentucky limestone water with reverse osmosis, maintains a cook temperature of 240 degrees Fahrenheit, and ages the whiskeys in new white oak barrels with a number four char applied for 55 seconds. Barrels are crafted by Independent Stave in Lebanon, Kentucky, and Cumberland Cooperage.

The collection represents three distinct mash bills. The rye mash bill used for George T. Stagg, Eagle Rare 17, and E.H. Taylor combines corn, rye, and malted barley. The wheat mash bill for William Larue Weller incorporates corn, soft red winter wheat, and malted barley. The straight rye mash bill for Thomas H. Handy and Sazerac 18 blends rye, corn, and malted barley.
George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, and Thomas H. Handy are unfiltered, while Eagle Rare 17, Sazerac 18, and E.H.

Taylor undergo chill filtration. Tasting profiles vary across the collection, with George T. Stagg presenting deep oak and vanilla on the nose with bold vanilla, dark tobacco, and ripe cherry on the palate. Eagle Rare 17 offers dark tobacco, leather, cherry, and pepper aromas with caramel, leather, and cherry flavors. E.H. Taylor delivers vanilla, oak, and maple notes with sweetness and baking spices. Thomas H. Handy features oak, spice, fruit, and apple characteristics with bold spice and oak.

Each bottle in the collection is presented in crystal-clear glass at 750 mL and includes detailed production and aging information. The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection is typically enjoyed neat to appreciate the distinct characteristics developed through extended aging and varied mash bill compositions.
